Great Himalaya Trail is known to be the longest and highest trekking path amongst all others trekking path by covering the total length of 4,500 km. Great Himalayan Trail (GHT) presents the opportunity of a lifetime memorable thrilling and wonderful views of Mountains. The trail passes through most remote communities, green valleys, the top naturally diversity gifted countries Myanmar, Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal, India and Pakistan, high plateaus and incredible landscapes in the Himalayas. The trial was walked for the first time in 2009 by the team led by Robin Boustead and the trip was completely successful within 157 days during the trip on February-August of 2011.
The most amazing fact of this trial is the longest route of the Great Himalayan Trail is in Nepal, which covers the length of 1,700 km. The trail heads on western Nepal where the massive views of mountains above 8000m are seen. The final westernmost point of the Great Himalayan Trail is the world’s ninth highest peak i.e. Nanga Parbat located in Pakistan. After the spectacular views if fourteen 8000m mountains the trek passing through the headwaters of Ganga river of India, the views of Annapurna, Everest, and Kanchenjunga of Nepal then Bhutan and ends at Namche Barwa in Tibet.
Another trekking trail has a choice to complete the trek through camping, teahouse style, and homestay. As mentioned above the route following The Great Himalayan Trail takes you the most remote areas in the world, where the trekkers have to follow homestay, teahouse or camping style.
