Tibet is also considered as “The Roof of The World” due to its high elevation. Lhasa is the capital city of Tibet, which is standing at height of 3665m. The southern part of the Tibet is home of some of the high altitude mountains. Also the holy Kailash Manasarovar is located in Tibet. Lhasa Durbar is one of the demanding touristic destination. DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrival in Bhutan, Paro and Drive to
Thimphu
Welcome in Paro Bhutan's capital city, Thimphu, in the foothills
of the Himalayas Fly into the town of Paro from Kathmandu. You'll be welcomed by
our office representative and your tour guide and driven to Bhutan's capital
city of Thimphu. A short briefing about the trip and Thimpu will be provided by
guide.
Day 02: Explore Thimphu, Travel to Punakha
The impressive Punakha Dzong, the former capital of Bhutan Today
you'll delve deeper into Bhutanese culture in Thimphu. Go on a half-day tour
around the city, stopping at arts workshops and museums, an indigenous medicine
hospital, convents and monasteries, the weekend market, and a takin sanctuary.
The takin is the national animal of Bhutan and is a large goat-like animal.
After lunch, you'll travel to the town of Punakha, about three hours away.
You'll drive through thick forest as the road climbs gently up to the Dochu La
Pass at an elevation of 10,000 feet (3,050m). Take in the spectacular mountain
vistas to the north before continuing down to the sub-tropical Punakha Valley.
Here you'll visit the impressive Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece
located at the intersection of two rivers. Then later in the afternoon visit
the market in town and attend an evening prayer ceremony at the nunnery.
Day 03: Punakha and the Dochu La Pass
View from the Dochu La Pass Wake up early for a short, easy hike
to Chimi Lhakhang temple, dedicated to the quirky Buddhist leader Drukpa
Kunley. The "fertility temple," as it's sometimes called, is filled
with phallic imagery said to ward off evil spirits. Drive back through the
Dochu La Pass for more panoramic views of Himalayan peaks along the Tibetan border.
You'll get even better views from Lungchutse Lhakhang, up on a hilltop about
1,640 feet (500m) above the Dochu La Pass. Trek for two hours through a rich
growth of moss, birch, hemlock, and rhododendron trees to get to the Lungchutse
temple. Enjoy a picnic lunch in fresh mountain air before walking downhill to
the meditation center at Trashigang Goemba. From here, you'll be picked up and
driven back to Paro for the night.
Day 04: Hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest)
Monastery The sacred Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger's Nest
Monastery This morning you'll embark upon a full-day hike to the iconic Paro
Taktsang, also called the Tiger's Nest Monastery. To reach this 17th century
temple complex nestled into the mountainside, you'll climb up a somewhat steep
path for one to three hours. If you're not too tired, continue further uphill
to visit a few more monasteries off the beaten track. Take in the amazing views
of the Paro Valley, and then stop at Bhutan's oldest temple, Khyichu Lhakhang,
on the way back down. In the evening, sit down to a lovely farewell dinner with
your guide.
Day 05: Fly to Kathmandu
Today is final day of Bhutan Tour. After lunch we fly to Nepal for
second destination.
Day 06: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal!
Our representative will receive you from the airport and transfer
you to the respective Hotels. Short briefing about further plans in Kathmandu.
Day 07-08: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Explore Kathmandu City.
Kathmandu – Surrounded by four hills – Fulchowki, Chandragiri,
Shivapuri and Nagarjuna. Kathmandu valley has three major cities Kathmandu,
Bhaktapur and Patan. Situated at the altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level,
Kathmandu is home to seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During Kathmandu
sightseeing period you will visit Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhu Nath, Bauddha
Nath, Patan and Bhaktapur.
Day 09: Fly to Pokhara
Today is very interesting day. We will fly to Pokhara. The 30
minutes flight offers to vew Dazzaling Mountains. Our reprehensive will receive
you and team from airport, then they transfer to your hotel. Pokhara is a city
of natural beauties and more fresh compare with Kathmandu. We will offer a nice
dinner party at Lakeside.
Day 10: Explore Pokhara
The full day we will explore Pokhara city. There are lots of
things to explore like pristine lakes, natural caves, temples and museum. We
will spend half and hour for boating at Fewa Lake at the evening time.
Day 11: Explore Chitwan National Park
Chitwan is one of the top touristic destinations of Nepal. After
visiting Pokhara, we will drive to Chitwan in 7th day. It takes 2-3 hr drive
from Pokhara to Chitwan. So, we move early in the morning for Chitwan. The
Jungle Safari is quite popular. For the natural enthauist, this trip may be
dram program. The overnight stay at Chitwan National park. The Elephent Safari
will offer at Evening time. And you can explore the typical culture program at
night.
Day 12: Visit The birth place of Lord
Buddha
In the early morning we drive to Lumbini, which is 2-3 hr from
Chitwan. At the lunch time you will reach to the birth place of lord Buddha.
Lumbini is spared in 2.56 sq km with full of divine monastery and stupas. The
place is really peace and pristine.
Day 13: Back to Bhairahawa and flight to Kathmandu
After exploring Lumbini, the trip of Nepal section is ended, if
needed we can expand. So, in this day you will drive to Bhairahawa in the
morning and fly back to Kathmandu in the daytime. And ready for the next
destination. In this day we offer you a short dinner party at Kathmandu. This
is final day at Kathmandu, Nepal.
Day 14: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa
(Tibet)
Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa. It takes about an hour flight. once
you reach to the Lhasa, our office representative and your guide will receive
you and transfer to Hotel. Your guide shortly briefs you about trip.
Day 15: Sightseeing Tour of Lhasa
After breakfast we will head for the sightseeing tour of Lhasa. In
this day you will visit the Potala Palace, which is built at the top of the single
hill. After that, we go for Narbulinka, which is known as the Treasure Park. It
covers around 360000sq m and is the biggest garden in Tibet made by the human.
We then get back to the hotel.
Day 16: Visit Sera Monastery
Today we will visit Sera Monastery, which is 5 km north. We
start our tour after lunch at hotel. Sera Monastery is is one of the beautiful
monasteries where once more than 5000 monks used to stay. At the evening time
we will visit to the Jokhang Temple of old Lhasa. It is iconic place of
Lhasa. Further, we will go to Barkhor Market, the religious and social
focal point of Lhasa. After that, we will get back to the hotel. Stay
overnight.
Day 17: Visiting the rest places of Lhasa
After breakfast, we will head to visit the rest of Lhasa. We will
visit the Tibetan Medical foundation, get back and stay overnight in
Lhasa.
Day 18: Departure
Fly from Lhasa to United Kingdom Departure to your own country
