INTRODUCTION

The name Amadablam is derived from the “Mother’s necklace” in Nepali-Sherpa Language. It is one of the holiest mountains for Nepalese Sherpa people of Khumbu Region. The mountain is standing with an elevation 6812m (22349ft) in Everest Region. Most of the trekking trail is common with Everest Base Camp Trek.

On 13 March 1961, a British expedition group has submitted at the first time. From which the history of Amadablam expedition was begun. Recently the research says, Amadablam is the third most popular climbing peaks in Nepalese Himalaya. Before going for Everest Expedition, most of the climber wishes to ascent Amadablam as the best training experiences. This is what makes Amadablam is a most permitted mountain in Nepal. Climbing Amadablam is mixed with easy to difficult route. At least three camps are needed for the successful summit of Amdablam. But already trained and experienced climber can set up 1 or two above base camp.

Climbing Amdablam without professional Sherpa Guide seems impossible. It is a technical mountain peak that you need to have proper climbing gears and support. Before climbing this mountain every climber should have basic ideas on climbing gears, climbing devices, and use precaution etc. The best season for Amadablam Expedition is April-May (before monsoon) as with Mt.Everest and September-October.
